Willie Loftin

West Asheville – Willie Loftin, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at his residence. A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Tom and Mary Jones Loftin. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Jean Loftin who passed away on May 27, 2006; sister, Lucille Craig; and brothers: Rudolph Loftin, and Henry “Shorty” Loftin. Mr. Loftin was a member of Chestnut Hill Church of God. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be greatly missed. Surviving are his children: Darlene Loftin and husband Michael, Ricky Loftin and wife Edna, and Angela Baynard and husband Randall; grandchildren: Robyn Whittemore, Christopher Baynard, Will Loftin, and Cari Loftin; great-grandchildren: Tristan, James, Colton, Skylar, Leigha, Tanner, and Ryder; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Sky View Memorial Park.
