Willie C. "Bunt" Burrell

West Asheville Willie Thelma Bunt Cauble Burrell, 97, of 114 Vandalia Avenue, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Pisgah Manor Health Care. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a member of West Asheville Baptist Church and was the daughter of the late William Willie T. Cauble and Stella Marie Brown Cauble. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry Gay Herbert Burrell who died September 5, 1993. Surviving are her daughters, Patricia Gail Hathaway and husband Bubba of Savannah, GA and Nancy Marie Burrell of Asheville; grandsons, Joey Fields and wife Dawn and Scotty Fields all of Savannah, GA; great grandchildren, Annie, Aiden, Aiddeline, Ashlynn and Gabe Fields; brother, Bobby Cauble and wife Joan of Charlotte; and beloved niece, Peggy Turner Michael. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday, September 28, 2013 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Stan Welch officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Joey Fields, Mitchell Turner, Joshua Turner, Bubba Hathaway, Don Michael and Doug Huffman serving as pallbearers.
