William Wesley Hensley

William Wesley Hensley, 86, of Asheville, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2014 at St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Great Falls, SC, he had resided in Buncombe County most of his life. Mr. Hensley was the son of the late Earnest and Ida Hensley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Doan Hensley, and daughter, Rebecca Stawiski. Surviving are his daughter, Melissa Israel of TX; sons: Billy Hensley, Gary Hensley, and David Hensley all of Asheville; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Betty A. Mann of SC; brothers:Ronald Hensley, Joey Hensley, Tommy Hensley all of SC, and John Hensley of CA; and by many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, May 21, 2014 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 till 11 AM.
