William Frederick "Dusty" Rhodes Iii

William F. Dusty Rhodes III, 67, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Bridgeport, CT, he resided in Buncombe County for most of his life. He was the son of Hattie S. Rhodes and the late William F. Rhodes, Jr. He was also preceded in death by his wife Mary Parris Rhodes. Surviving in addition to his mother are: companion, Shirley Rhew; children: Dusty William Rhodes IV and his wife Rachel of Averys Creek, and Kim Edlington of Black Mountain; grandchildren: Kendall, Kaydence, J.J., Tyler, and Keri. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, November 4, 2014 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Military Graveside Honors conducted by the NC National Guard. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.
