William "Bill" Gosnell

William “Bill” Edward Gosnell, 80, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at the Carepartners Solace Center.

A native and lifelong resident, Bill was the son of the late William Russell Gosnell and Adelaide Bishop Gosnell. He was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Allison Gosnell.

Bill was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and worked with the NC Department of Transportation for 33 years until retirement as the Quality Assurance Supervisor in 2000. He love the Lord and his family very much, he will be missed by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Regina Maynard Gosnell; children: Anthony Gosnell, Russell Gosnell and wife Delores, and Lori Hicks and husband David; grandchildren: Kirstin Gosnell and wife Ashlyn, Dylan Gosnell, Chance Barry and wife Michaela, Kaleb Webb and wife Jennifer, Kira Webb, and Kassidy Webb; great-grandsons, Jeremiah Barry, and Jackson Barry; and many extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Friday, September 15, 2023, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 455 Hollywood Road, Fairview, NC 28730, with Rev. Charles Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 till 7 PM at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Mr. Gosnell will also lie in state at the church on Friday for 1 hour prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Gosnell, Russell Gosnell, Kirstin Gosnell, Dylan Gosnell, Chance Barry, and Danny Bishop.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Carepartners Solace Center and the Reynolds Fire Department to all their loving support given to the Gosnell family.
