William Benjamin Lang

February 25, 1924 — July 1, 2002

Greenville, Florida - William Benjamin Lang of Greenville, Florida died Monday July 1, 2002 at his residence. A native of Collins, Arkansas and a son of the late John and Scott Lang. He had resided in Jacksonville, Florida from 1957 until moving to Greenville in 1974 where he was a farmer. Mr. Lang retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service having served during W.W. II and the Korean War. He was a receipient of the Bronze Star during operations against enemy aggressive forces in the Korean Theater. He was of the Baptist faith, member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Blinded Veterans Association. Surviving are his loving wife, Mary Robinson Lang of the home. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Green Hills Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. John T. Tiller officiating. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
