Willene Jones

Asheville – Lora Willene Kirkpatrick Jones, 73, went to be with the Lord Saturday, August 13, 2022 at her residence. A native of Madison County. Willene had resided in Buncombe County for the past 50 years. She was a retired Hairdresser & Licensed Cosmetologist and formerly served as a Florist and was a CNA II. Mrs. Jones was the daughter of the late Sam Love Kirkpatrick and Geraldine “Kate” Messer Kirkpatrick and the wife of the late Bob Charles Jones, who passed away November 10, 2005. She was also preceded in death by her son, Brad Jones who died in 2017. Surviving are her daughter, Jeana Renae Ferguson and husband James Wilson “Beau” of Asheville; step daughter, Tammy Webb of Asheville; grandchildren, Robbie Ferguson, Tyler Ferguson, Hallie Edwards and Megan Webb; great-grandchildren, Rylie, Reed and Reagan Kate; special daughter in law, Dusti Smith of the home; special sisters, Barbara Tweed of Enka, Debbie Hester of Sylva, Vivian Hill of Waynesville and Barbara Price of Newport, TN; and several cousins including Patty (Darlene) Davidson of Asheville and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, August 19, 2022, in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Teddy Tweed officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Hot Springs. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11AM prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
