Wilda Ballew Frisbee

Wilda Ballew Frisbee, 75, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the Emerald Ridge Rehabilitation and Care Center. A native of Madison County she resided in Buncombe County most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Jess and Bertha Roberts Ballew. She was also preceded in death by her son, Morris Dale Frisbee; 2 brothers, and a sister. Mrs. Frisbee was a member of Jones Valley Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Glenn Frisbee of the home; children: Max Frisbee and wife Sherry of Shelby, Lillian Sissy Cox and husband Danny of Barnardsville, Leisa Frisbee of Burnsville, Melvin Frisbee and wife Wendy of Seminole, FL, Brian Frisbee of Asheville, and Brandon Frisbee of Asheville; sisters: Lois Ingle and husband Clifford of Swannanoa, and Ruby Ballew of Greenville, TN; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Piney Grove Baptist Church, Meadows Town Rd, Marshall, NC, with Rev. Garry Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends for 1 hour prior to services on Tuesday at the church, and at the home, 15 Boone St, Asheville, NC 28806, on Monday from 10 AM till 11 AM on Tuesday.
