Wayne Ervin Smeltzer

Asheville - Wayne Ervin Smeltzer, 74, of 18-A Pisgah View Apts., died Monday, December 3, 2001 at St. Josephs Hospital. A native of Madison County, he was the son of the late Fred and Hattie Harkleroad Smeltzer. Surviving are his wife, Rose Mary Dillavou Smeltzer of the home; brother, Henry Carter Smeltzer of Swannanoa; sister, Betty Lewis of Black Mtn. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday in Asheville Central Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Cortland Ave. with President Gary Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 PM Wednesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
