Wayne Edward Hedrick

Fletcher – Wayne Edward Hedrick, 68, went back to be with his Creator, the Lord Jesus Christ, on Friday, June 30, 2023, at Mission Hospital.

Born in the Fletcher area, he lived his life in the Buncombe/Henderson County area. He is preceded in death by his dad, Boyd Millard Hedrick; his loving wife, Frances (Sissy) Presley Hedrick who passed away September 21, 2007.

Leaving behind are his mom, Ruby Payne Hedrick; his sister, Evelyn; brother, Anthony; his son he adored, Michael Presley and wife Jennifer whom he loved like his own daughter; two amazing grandgirls: Meta-Grace and Mattie-Lynn.

“ I wrote this long before we got to this point. Just want to say I loved you all and all my not mentioned dear friends who know who they are. I wish you all a great rest of your journey. I wish you all a peaceful passing when it’s your turn. Look me up in Heaven. I’ll be waiting!!! Goodbye for now – Wayne”

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Blue Ridge Cowboy Church, with Pastor Louis Gibson and Pastor Douglas Guy officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Episcopal Churchyard, Fletcher.

The family will receive friends from 2:30 till 3:30 PM Wednesday prior to services at the church and also at the family home following the services.
