ASHEVILLE - Wanda Sluder Robinson, 72, of 15 Ramsey Road and most recently of Averys View Assisted Living died Saturday, July 28, 2001 at Memorial Mission Hospital. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was formerly employed for 15 years with Sky City stores where she served as manager of the jewelry department. She was an avid bowler and bridge player, a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and a 1948 graduate of Lee H. Edwards High School. She is the daughter of Bonnie Towe Sluder of Asheville and the late Carroll Autumn Sluder and also preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Bruce M. Robinson. Surviving in addition to her mother are sons, Bruce M. Robinson, Jr. and wife, Patricia of Asheville, Richard L. Robinson and wife, Tammy of Arden; daughter, Barbra Ball and husband, David of Asheville; grandchildren, Tony and Kelly Ball of Asheville. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Owen officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Churchyard. Pallbearers will be Phillip Worley, Tony Ball, Larry Black, Tim Black and Marty Cundiff. The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and at other times the family will be at the home of David and Barbra Ball, 21 Little Forest Drive, Asheville.
