Wanda Blackwell

Saint Pauls – Wanda Lee Tweed Blackwell, 71, of 750 Dean Road, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022. A native of Buncombe County, she had resided in the Saint Pauls area for the past 25 years and was a 1967 graduate of Clyde A. Erwin High School. She was the daughter of the late Luther Nay Tweed and Bertha Lanelle Warren Tweed and was also preceded in death by her sister, Pamela Brady and brother, Carroll Tweed. Surviving are her son, H. Phillip Blackwell, Jr. (Carrie) of Saint Pauls; daughter, Sherry Denise Knight (Derwin Spaulding) of Red Springs; grandchildren, Courtney Evers, Jessica Stencil, Tyler Blackwell, Austin Willis, Deseray Hill and William Dschaak; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Brenda Metz of Asheville; brother, Alan Tweed (Liz) of Weaverville and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Friday, February 11, 2022 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 PM Friday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
