Wade Arnold Edwards

Wade Arnold Edwards, 82, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025, at his residence while surrounded by his family.

A native of Buncombe County, he was the son of the late William Arnold Edwards and Hazel Marie Bryant Edwards, and the husband of the late Betty Jean Shelton Edwards who passed away on June 12, 2010. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Matthew Gresham.

Wade worked for Budweiser of Asheville for more than 45 years. He loved his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Surviving are his children: Wade Edwards Jr. and wife Debra, Alvin Edwards and wife Lisa, Christina Wykle, and Wanda Carter and husband Neal; grandchildren: Garrett Carter, Wyatt Carter (Hailey), Tristan Carter, Adam Gresham (Esther), Alvin Edwards Jr. and wife Shelby, Wade Edwards III, Chris Edwards and wife Amanda, and Kelly Edwards; great-grandchildren: Danniella Edwards, Nevaeh Edwards, Kynnadee Edwards, Harper Edwards, Andrew Edwards, Cheyenne Edwards, Thatcher Edwards, Zora Gresham, and Remi Gresham; sisters: Shirley Austin and husband Cecil, and Pat Beach Edwards; brother, Johnny Edwards; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Tim Warren officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 PM on Tuesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
