ELIZABETHTON, TN - VIVIAN BEATRICE ANDERS LONG, 80, OF 117 MESSIMER LANE DIED FRIDAY, APRIL 20, 2001. A NATIVE OF BUNCOMBE COUNTY AND A RESIDENT OF ELIZABETHTON MOST OF HER LIFE. MRS. LONG WAS A DAUGHTER OF THE LATE JAMES BURGIN AND FLORENCE ICENHOUR ANDERS AND THE WIFE OF CHARLES REAGEN LONG, JR. WHO DIED IN 1977. SHE WAS A 1938 GRADUATE OF LEE H. EDWARDS HIGH SCHOOL AND WHILE IN ASHEVILLE WORKED AS A KEY PUNCH OPERATOR AT POSTAL ACCOUNTS. SHE RETIRED FROM EAST TENNESSEE UNDERGARMENT COMPANY AFTER MANY YEARS OF SERVICE. MRS. LONG WAS A MEMBER OF SIAM BAPTIST CHURCH AND A FORMER MEMBER OF THE LADIES OF THE MOOSE. SURVIVING ARE HER SONS, KENNETH LONG AND WIFE, DIANE OF ELIZABETHTON AND J.B. LONG AND WIFE, FAYE OF ASHEVILLE; SISTER, RUTH FORREST OF RALEIGH; GRANDDAUGHTER, KRISTY LONG OF ELIZABETHTON; GRANDSON, CHARLIE LONG OF ASHEVILLE AND SEVERAL NIECES AND NEPHEWS. GRAVESIDE SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 1:30 P.M. MONDAY AT GREEN HILLS CEMETERY WITH THE REV. CHARLIE SAMS OFFICIATING. HER FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS FROM 12 NOON TO 1 P.M.
