Virginia Dillaha

October 15, 1924 — February 14, 2004

Hendersonville - Virginia Elliott Dillaha, 79, of 105 Acorn Drive, died Saturday February 14, 2004 at the Four Seasons Hospice Elizabeth House after an extended illness. A native of Buncombe County, she had lived in Hendersonville for the past 24 years. She was a longtime member of Westwood Baptist Church in Asheville where she had been a Sunday School Teacher. She was a present member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Hendersonville. She was a daughter of the late Wade and Pauline Elliott and the wife of the late William Bill Eugene Dillaha. She was also preceded in death by a sister Ruth Williams. Surviving are her Daughter, Mary Ann Dellinger of Milledgeville, Ga.; son, Bill Dillaha of Somerset, KY.; sisters, Barbara June Waldrop of Melbourne, Fl. and Dorothy Bell Ashe of Laurel Park; brothers, Gene Elliott of Asheville and Bobby Elliott of Lake Crescent, Fl.; grandchildren, Kim Allen, Tim Dillaha, Ken Dellinger, Josh Dillaha and Breez Dillaha and great grandchildren, Andrew Dillaha, Davey Allen and Jacob Allen. She was a very devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Ron Fousek of Ebenezer Baptist Church officiating. Music will be provided by the minister of music, Gary Powell and his wife Norma. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M.
