Virginia Dare Presnell Stines

Alexander -Virginia Dare Presnell Stines, 90, of 632 Old NC 20 Hwy, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 31, 2024, at her residence.

A native of Madison County and resident of Buncombe County for most of her life. Mrs. Stines was a longtime member of the Macedonia Baptist Church where she sang in the choir for many years.

She was the daughter of the late James Milton Presnell and Edra Fisher Presnell, and wife of the late, Orville Dennis Stines. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jeff Stines; and brothers: Sam Presnell, and Hal Presnell.

Surviving are her son, Jonathan “Jon” Stines of the home; sister, Marilyn Cunningham; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, April 5, 2024, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Friday.
