Vickie Gardner Becker

Asheville – Vickie Lee Gardner Becker, 84, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at her residence after a prolonged illness. She was born on January 1, 1938 in Port Huron, MI to the late William and Myrtle Mae (Bellanger) Kress. She is survived by her husband, Col. Ronald C. Becker, Ret., and was preceded in death by her late husband of 51 years, Thomas Clare Gardner; sisters, M. Evon Cram and Katherine "Kay" Barr, and brother, William Kress. Also surviving are her three children: Scott Thomas Gardner (Deana), Gigi Gai Gardner Teague (Mitchell) and Chad William Gardner as well as five grandchildren: Thomas Cade Gardner, Cameron Mitchell Teague, Logan William Gardner, Alyssa Lee Gardner and Haley Margaret Gardner, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and her beloved pup, Molly. No services are planned at this time. The Family asks that any donations be made to Four Seasons Hospice, Flat Rock, NC.
