Veronica Mary Cole

Alexander - Veronica Mary Sullivan Cole, 57, of 700 Curtis Parker Road, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at the St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals following a period of declining health. Born in Queens, NY, Veronica had resided in Goshen, NY before moving to Buncombe County two years ago. She was a homemaker, and of the Catholic faith. Veronica was the daughter of Margaret Allen Sullivan of Highland Mills, NY, and the late Thomas Sullivan. In addition to her mother, surviving are her husband of 38 years, Edward Glenn Cole, of the home; son, Christopher Glenn Cole and wife Glenda of Alexander; daughter, Heather Lynn Cherry and husband Kyle of Leicester; step-granddaughter, Alicia Ward of Leicester; step-great-granddaughter, Summer Shea Strickland of Leicester; sisters: Elizabeth Edwards of Central Valley, NY, Mary Cole of Asheville, and Patricia Ledford of Leicester; and brothers: John Sullivan and Thomas Sullivan, both of Highland Mills, NY, and Michael Sullivan of Penrose, NC. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with Father Morris Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
