Vera Erline Kelley

Asheville - Vera Erline Kelley, 93, of Asheville and formerly of Jasper, Al., died August 5, 2003, at Aston Park Health Care Center. She was the daughter of the late Willie Lowe Parker and the late Julia Myrtie Parker of Moulton, Al. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of First Baptist Church in Jasper, Al. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Virgil Kelley; a son, Norman Dale Kelley and a grandson, John David Kelley. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, J. Glen Kelley and Marjorie Kelley, of Asheville; seven grandchildren, Patrick and Leigh Kelley, both of Asheville, Darlene Coleman, S. Patrick Kelley, Christopher Kelley, Timothy Kelley and Patricia Grenade, all of the Atlanta, Ga. area and several great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Moulton Memory Gardens in Moulton, Alabama, under the direction of Elliott Funeral Home in Moulton, with the Rev. Conrad Howell officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mountain Area Hospice, P.O. Box 25338, Asheville, N.C. 28813. Anders-Rice Funeral Home, Asheville, is in charge of local arrangements.
