Tony Brandon Hood

Tony Brandon Hood, 38, passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack on Thursday, June 9, 2016. A native of Kingsport, TN he is survived by his wife, Adrienne Marrah Hood of Candler, NC; his parents, Johnny Ray Hood and Pam Caldwell Hood; his sisters, Christi Kincaid and Lindsey Repass and her husband, Justin, and 4 special nephews: Landon Alley, Payton Repass, Gavin Repass, and Andre Kincaid, all of Kingsport, TN. In addition, he is survived by special mother-in-law, Shirley Marrah; special aunt, Phyllis Caldwell; special uncle, Larry Hood; business partner and friend, Patrick Kennedy; and many extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, M.E. Caldwell, grandmother, Helen Caldwell, and uncle Michael Caldwell. A graduate of Virginia Intermont College, Tony was an award-winning photographer, business owner, and photo instructor. His passion was landscape and travel photography, as well as his family, friends, and local community. Funeral services will be held at 5 PM Monday, June 13, 2016 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Dr. Roc Collins officiating. The family will receive friends following the service from 6 till 8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Church Hill Memorial Gardens, Church Hill, TN, with Dr. Dave Phillips officiating. Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home of Church Hill, TN will be assisting the family with services in Tennessee. Pallbearers will be: Justin Repass, Aaron Hood, Mike Sams, Cameron Juroff, Darby Kindle, and Benjamin Painter. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tony Hood Photography Education Fund, A-B Tech Foundation, 340 Victoria Rd, Asheville, NC 28801.
