Tommye S. Lloyd

Asheville - Tommye Ella Zane Surrette Lloyd, 77, of 30 Clairmont Ave., apartment G-1, Asheville, died Tuesday, February 3, 2004. Tommye was born in Transylvania County, raised in Bryson City and spent most of her life in Asheville. She attended Western Carolina University. In addition to raising a family, she worked for the City of Asheville and Mountainside Apartments. She was also an honorary member of Beaucatcher Quilters. She was a daughter of the late Thomas L. and Anne B. Norton Surrette. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Thomas N. Surrette; sister, Evelyn D. Anderson; daughter, Molly N. Lloyd and sons, James W. Lloyd, Jr. and David Z. Lloyd. She is survived by her son, Todd N. Lloyd of San Francisco, CA. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends following services at the funeral home.
