Thomas Lee "Tommy" Shotwell

Asheville – Thomas Lee “Tommy” Shotwell, 67, of 20 Waterford Court, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 24, 2022.

A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, a graduate of Clyde A. Erwin High School, an avid golfer and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Mr. Shotwell was formerly employed with Sun Heating Company.

He was a son of the late William Robert Shotwell, Sr. and Jean Russell Moore Shotwell. He was also preceded in death by his twin brother, Timothy Lacy Shotwell.

Surviving are his sons, Christopher Shotwell and wife, Rebecca of Vail, AZ and Todd Shotwell of Candler; grandchildren, Kayden, Kason and Koral; sisters, Betty Hollingsworth with whom he made his home, Shirley Hyatt and husband, Nat of Weaverville and Gloria Anderson and husband, Donald of Candler; brother, William R. Shotwell, Jr. and wife, Gloria of Catonsville, MD: special friends, Roger Traylor, C.Y. Young, Roy Simmons and Mike Owenby; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 2pm Monday, October 31, 2022, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Ben Heise officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the services at the funeral home.
