Theodora Ledford

Candler – Theodora Katsigianis “Theo” Ledford, 50, passed away Monday, June 6, 2022 at Duke University Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Burlington, NC, Theo had resided in Buncombe County for most of her life. Following high school graduation, she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from NC State University and began her career in healthcare working as a pharmaceutical representative. Wanting to do more, she returned to college and obtained her Bachelor in Science degree in Nursing from Western Carolina University, followed by a Masters in Science degree in Nursing from the University of South Alabama. Following her studies and the completion of her internship at the Charles George VA Medical Center, she held the positions there of Registered Nurse, Clinical Nurse Leader and most recently as NIC Nurse Manager. Her greatest joy, however, was spending quality time with her family. Theo was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Paul Herbert Ledford, Jr. Surviving are her husband of 26 years, Adrian Michael Ledford; her sons: Paul, Jonathan and Zachary Ledford; parents: Andreas and Golfo Katsigiannis; mother-in-law, Marcia Ann Ledford; brothers: Jimmy Katsigianis and wife Maria and their children, Drew and Anna; and Gus Katsigianis and his son Dre; and brother-in-law, Jason Ledford and wife Despina and their children, Constantine and Chloe. Trisagion service will be held at 5:30 PM Sunday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the Trisagion service until 7:30 PM at the funeral home Funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, June 13 at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church of Asheville, of which she was a member, with Father Michael Diavatis officiating. Private graveside services at Forest Lawn Memorial Park will occur at a later time.
