Thelma Hall

CANDLER - Thelma Lamb Hall, 93, passed away Friday, September 14, 2012 at Pisgah Manor Health Care Center. A native of Madison County, Mrs. Hall had resided in Buncombe County since 1947. She worked as a Technical Researcher for American Enka, and was a member of Francis Asbury United Methodist Church. Mrs. Hall was the daughter of the late John Nathan and Sara Elizabeth Blackwell Lamb. She was also preceded in death by her sisters: Helen Ward, Mamie Lawson, and Hazel McMahan; and brothers: Henry, Willie and Jim Lamb. Surviving are her husband, George Hall; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Veranita Alvord officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
