Thelma Farlow Branch

Asheville Thelma Lorene Farlow Branch, 89, of Battery Park Apartments, passed away Monday, March 22, 2010 at the Laurels of Green Tree Ridge. A native of Buncombe County, she resided in Mooresville for a number of years before returning to Asheville sixteen years ago. She was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church. Mrs. Branch was the daughter of the late Harley and Ennis Sercy Farlow, and the wife of the late Vernon Branch. She was also preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Karen Wilson. Surviving are her daughter, Ruth Wilson and husband Jimmy; grandsons: Gary Wilson and Dale Wilson; great-grandson, Timothy Wilson; sisters: Dorothy Dot Worley and husband Robert, Alice Queen, and Ruby Buckner; brother, George Farlow; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 3 PM Saturday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, with the Rev. Enoch Ball, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 2:30 PM Saturday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
