Tessa Michaels Nowlin

Alexander Tessa Tanara Michaels Nowlin, 41, of 14 Smith Valley Road, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2011. Tessa was born in Las Vegas, NV on July 29, 1970 and has resided in Buncombe County since she was 3 months old. She was a 1989 Graduate of Clyde A. Erwin H.S. and served as a waitress for Mountain Diner on New Leicester Hwy and with Barbecue Inn for 20 years. She was the daughter of Debra Allen with whom she made her home and the late Donald Raymond Michaels. Surviving in addition to her mother are her daughters, Emily Victoria Nowlin and Shanna Dale Nowlin and their father and Tessas former husband of 14 years, Dale Nowlin all of Marshall; brother, Donnie Michaels and wife, Kimberly of Candler, Maternal grandmother, Margaret Kooles of Candler. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice with the Rev. Roger Kuykendall officiating. Private burial will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 PM Monday at the funeral home.
