Terry "Cotton" Dale Brockmeier, Sr.

Terry “Cotton” Dale Brockmeier, Sr., 76, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at his residence in Marion.

A native of Asheville, he worked as a Drywall Foreman. He loved his family deeply and would always accommodate his children and grandchildren with any needs from a bit of fatherly advice to a bed to sleep in at night. He instilled many great attributes into his family, including compassion, patience, determination, and hard work among many others. He also loved and served The Lord and enjoyed spending time in creation amongst the trees and waters, quietly fishing and thinking. At other times, he enjoyed watching NASCAR. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He was a son of the late William Edward Brockmeier and Myrtle McFalls Brockmeier. He was also preceded in death by his siblings: Richard Brockmeier, Thelma Spake and husband Jack, Jean Melton and husband Bob, Chuck Brockmeier, Bob Brockmeier, and Eddie Brockmeier and wife Jeanette; and son-in-law, Steven Brown.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children: Myra Brown, Terry Dale Brockmeier, Jr. and wife Cheryl, and Casey Allen Brockmeier and wife Tabatha; grandchildren: Myra Toshia-Brown Watts and husband Caleb, Jonathan Kane Brown, Sara Watson and husband Nick, Kaitlyn Myra-Sierra Watts, Megan Masters and husband Eddie Carpenter, Zackary Miller and wife Taylor, Randall Miller and wife Stacie, and Hunter Miller and fiancée Nox Ramsey; great-grandchildren: Autumn Joanna Watts, Adley Zayne Watts, Kira Jade Brown, and Raylan Watson; sisters-in-law: Dean and Yvonne Brockmeier; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Sky View Memorial Park.
