Ted Marvin Wilson

Fairview - Ted Wilson, beloved husband, father and Paw, 65, of 49 Vehorn Road, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, April 20, 2002 at his residence. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. He was retired from the Asheville V.A. Medical Center, a member of Trinity Baptist Church and an U.S. Army Veteran. He was a son of the late Charlie B. and Myrtle Reed Wilson. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Edna West. Surviving are his wife, Betty Wilson of the home, daughters, Teresa Moody and husband, Randy and Sandra Stewart and husband, Jonathan all of Asheville; granddaughter, Sarah Stewart; grandson, Joshua Stewart; sisters, Elizabeth West of Franklin, Margaret Trantham of Rutherfordton, Aeline Penley of Asheville and Joyce Pressley of Fairview; brother, Ray Wilson of Fairview; sisters-in-law, Barbara Stroud, Gail Ray and Rita Solesby; brothers-in-law Kelly and Stanley Jackson and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Ralph Sexton, Jr., Rev. Jerry Young and Mr. Jonathan Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Cane Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers will be members of his Sunday School Class. His family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Trinity Baptist Church.
