Tammy Ann Rice

Asheville – Tammy Ann Rice, 37, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 16, 2021, unexpectedly at the Memorial Mission Hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of Regina Barnes Rice of Asheville and the late Billy Rice. She was also preceded in death by her grandmother, Ruby Harrin. Tammy was currently employed with Mods Pizza. She loved life, loved her family, and her favorite animal was the giraffe. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Surviving in addition to her mother are her sister, Renae Rice and fiancée Timothy Collins; Aunt Wanda Barnes Reeves and husband David; uncles: Ronnie Barnes, and Ricky Barnes; and beloved niece, Jersey Rice. A celebration of Tammy’s life will be held from 5 till 7 PM on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at the Leicester Community Center, 2979 New Leicester Hwy, Leicester, NC 28748. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Tammy’s memory, to the family, to help with funeral expenses in care of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, 1428 Patton Avenue, Asheville, NC 28806.
