Asheville - Sybia Moore Heilig, 85, formerly of 28 Jarrett St. died Saturday September 8, 2001 in the Harbor Health Center in Port Charlotte, FL. A native of Asheville. Mrs. Heilig resided in Virginia from 1941 until 1973 and worked for the Department of the U.S. Army at the Pentagon for 15 years. She returned to Asheville in 1973 and then went to live with her sons in Florida and Virginia in 1997. She was a daughter of the late Burgess F. and Ann Blackwell Moore and the wife of the late James W. Heilig. She was also preceded in death by a son, James R. Heilig; brother, Marvin C. Moore and sister, Vivian C. Buckner. Surviving are her sons, Ronald H. Heilig of Alexandria, Va., Thomas L. Heilig of Fairfax, Va. and Charles A. Burgess of Baltimore, Md.; Brother, Burgess F. Moore, Jr. of Asheville; Grandchildren, Ronald W. Heilig of Keleen, Tx., Frederick J. Heilig of Alexandria, Va., and Vicki L. Heilig, Christopher D. Heilig, Kevin T. Heilig and Ryan M. Heilig all of Fairfax, Va.; great grandchildren Hunter K. and Margaret J. Heilig both of Keleen, Tx. and William T. Moore and Kristen Kurt both of Fairfax, Va. Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Friday in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. John T. Tiller officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the charity of ones choice.
