Steve Thorpe

Asheville Robert William Stephen Steve Thorpe, 67, of Bent Creek, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at his home. A native of Madison County and a longtime resident of Buncombe County, Mr. Thorpe was the owner and operator of Steves Tire Repair and Road Service. He was the son of the late Carl and Edith Norton Thorpe. Surviving are his children: Willie Thorpe and wife Laura, and April Coughlin and husband Keith, all of Asheville; grandchildren: Justin, Zada, Dawn, Christian, Robert, and Josh; sister, Carolyn Radford, and her daughters; and longtime companion, Joanne Sprinkle. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM Wednesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the services.
