Steve Shytle

Fletcher - Ralph Stephenson Steve Shytle, 69, of Fletcher, passed away Friday, September 26, 2014. A native of Alexandria, VA, Mr. Shytle had resided in Florida for most of his life until moving to Buncombe County in 1996. He worked as a master plumber and general contractor, and loved being out on the ocean in his free time. Mr. Shytle was the son of the late Ralph and Colleen Lackey Shytle, and was also preceded in death by a son, John Steven Shytle. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Lil Bennett Shytle; daughter, Janie Towe and husband Dwight; daughter-in-law, Michelle Shytle; grandchildren: Justin Steven Shytle, Ashley Nicole Shytle, and Jody Towe; siblings: Eddie Poteat, Barbara Parker, Jim Shytle, and Joy Hemphill; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Steve Oxner officiating. Burial will follow in Emmas Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
