Steve Fox

Asheville – Anthony Steven “Steve” Fox, 75, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at his residence.

A native and resident of his life of Buncombe County, he formerly worked with Asheville Steel, Jim Allen Construction Company and AMC and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He received his BS Degree in Plant Engineering from Western Carolina University. He was a US Army Vietnam veteran and was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Mr. Fox was a son of the late Forrest Weaver Fox and June Elizabeth Penley Fox and was also preceded in death by his brother, Michael Weaver Fox.

Surviving are his wife whom he married June 26, 1966, Donna Lynn Massey Fox of the home; daughter, Stephanie Jernigan and husband Robert of Asheville; son, Nicholaus Fox of Asheville; granddaughters: Savannah Sharp of Asheville and Riley Fullerton and husband Taylor of Little Rock, AR; sister, Beverly Hughes and husband Phillip of Asheville and brothers: Christon Fox and Kerry Fox both of Asheville.

Memorial services will be held at 12:30 PM Friday, July 14, 2023, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with Pastor Allen Rash officiating.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 to 12:15 PM Friday prior to services at the funeral home.

Interment will be at 2:00 PM Friday, July 14, 2023, at Western Carolina State Veteran Cemetery, with military honors conducted by the NC National Guard.
