Asheville – Steve Douglas Edmonds, 71, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 12, 2021 at the Memorial Mission Hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late James Douglas Edmonds and Lois Ray Edmonds. He was also preceded in death by his brother, James Fulton. Mr. Edmonds was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord, his family, and his church family. He was a longtime member of Brookstone Church, formerly North Asheville Baptist Church. Surviving are his sister, Joann Anders and husband Rex of Asheville; brother, Leon Fulton of Leicester; nephew, Barry Fulton and wife Christina; nieces: Gracie Biddix and husband Chase, and Daphne Grayson and husband Dean; and great-nieces and nephews: Hannah Fulton, Isaiah Fulton, Elizabeth Drinnen, Abigail Fulton, Blaze Biddix, Chance Biddix, and Cade Grayson. Graveside services for friends and family will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, with Pastor Jim Dykes and Pastor Ken Roberts officiating.
