Stella Rector Elliott

Black Mountain - Stella Allison Rector Elliott, 81, of 212 Goldmont Street died Wednesday, May 29, 2002. A native of McDowell County. Mrs. Elliott had resided in Buncombe County since the mid 1940s and was a homemaker. She was a daughter of the late Richard and Mae Moore Allison and the wife of the late John Wesley Rector who died in 1968 and the late Clyde Woodrow Elliott who died in 1995. Surviving are her daughter, Margaret Rector Oates of Black Mountain; step son, Hobert L. Rector and wife, Louise of Asheville; Step grand daughter, Cathy Rector Queen and step great grandson, Benjamin F. Queen both of Candler; sister, Ann Almour and husband, Frank of Delray Beach, Florida; sister in law, Mrs. Walter Allison of Black Mountain. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Green Hills Cemetery with the Rev. Wendell Runion officiating. Anders-Rice funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
