Sophia White

West Asheville Sophia Bernice White, 82, passed away at her brothers home in Morehead City. A native of Buncombe County, she had served as a cashier at the St Joseph Hospital Snack Shop and was a member of Naples Baptist Church. Mrs. White was the daughter of the late Wilkie Surrett and Alice King Mitchell and wife of William Henry White who died September 13, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, William and Sanford King and sister, Delma Warren. Surviving are her brother, Wilkie King and wife Ruth of Morehead City and special friends & caregivers, Mary Jordan and husband Les of Arden. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Pisgah View Memorial Park, where she will be buried beside her husband.
