Sonya Honeycutt

Asheville – Sonya Ann Corn Honeycutt, 71, of 7 Mountain Terrace, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at her residence. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a homemaker and a member of Riverside Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Carl Jackson “Jack” Corn and Virginia Magaline Plemmons Corn. Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Rev. John Honeycutt of the home; sons, John Lewis Honeycutt, Jr. and wife, Stephanie of Asheville, Christopher Honeycutt of Georgetown, KY, and Jason Nathaniel Honeycutt of Marion; 4 grandchildren, Seth Honeycutt, Morgan Couch, Nate Honeycutt, and Tommy Honeycutt; great grandson, Mason Honeycutt; sister, Gail Waldrop; brother, Ricky Corn, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Riverside Baptist Church, Woodfin, with her husband, Rev. John Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Saturday, June 25, 2022, at the church.
