Sharon Woon

Candler - Sharon Lauree Dean Woon, 60, of 450 Curtis Creek Road, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at her home. A native of Detroit, MI, she had resided in Buncombe County since June, 1986. She was a member of Bingham Heights Baptist Church. Mrs. Woon was the daughter of the late Edward and Zita Sharpe Dean. Surviving are her husband of 37 years, Michael Woon, of the home; two sons: Eric Woon and wife Angelena of Fairview and Jason Woon and wife Charity of Candler; two grandchildren, Benjamin and Michaela; two sisters: Betty Wilson and Edith Little; and three brothers: Edward Dean, Robert Dean, and Jack Dean. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday at Bingham Heights Baptist Church, with Pastor Jerry Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Candler. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bingham Heights Baptist Church, 245 Bingham Road, Asheville, NC 28806.
