Selma L. Gantt

Asheville - Selma Leona Clubb Gantt, 92, of 140 Old Leicester Rd. died Saturday, July 27, 2002 at her residence following a period of declining health. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. She was a homemaker and a member of Victory Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Robert Calvin and Celia Lee Clubb and the wife of Robert Lee Gantt who died November 24, 1981. Surviving are her daughter, Eva McCoy and husband, George of Richmond, Virginia; son, Bobby Gantt and wife, Julia of Asheville; sister, Beatrice Stepp of Sacramento, California; brother, Clifford Clubb and wife, Naomi of Asheville; sister-in-law, Arlene Clubb of Haverhill Mass; 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; special friends and caregivers, Debi Boyd and Melissa Stanley both of Asheville. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pisgah View Memorial Park with the Rev. Larry Sprinkle officiating.
