Sarah Henderson "Sally" Dunk

Asheville - Sarah Sally Henderson Dunk, 87, of 163 Arthur Rd. died Saturday, August 16, 2003 at The Laurels of Greentree Ridge after a period of declining health. A native of Tuscon, AZ, she had resided in Buncombe County for over 40 years. She retired form the U.S. Forest Service after 25 years of service as a secretary and she was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Womens Auxillary Army Corp. during WW II. Mrs. Dunk was the daughter of the late Manuel and Louisa Flores Henderson. Surviving are her husband, Henry Thomas Dunk of the home; daughter, Kathleen Lewis of Asheville; grandchildren, Daisy Roland and Taylor Fisher, both of Asheville; sister, Dorothy Pearcy of Dallas, TX. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is assisting Mrs. Dunks family.
