Sally Compton Plemmons

Asheville - Sally Compton Plemmons - 92, of 38 Dellwood Street died Saturday April 23, 2005 at the Solace Center. A native of Hardinsbury, KY. she had lived in Asheville since 1944. She was a retired practical nurse and a member of Westwood Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School in all different age groups and helped with Vacation Bible School and the Childrens Church. She was a daughter of the late Marvin and Ida Macy Compton and the wife of the late Ellis Orr Plemmons. Surviving are her sisters, Mary Odom of Asheville and Dorothy Taylor of Oldsmar, FL. and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at Westwood Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Baird and Mr. G. B. Pressley officiating. Burial will be in the Newfound Baptist Church Cemetery.
