Asheville - Juanita Ruth Walters, 91, of 308 Oak Place died Tuesday, January 4, 2011 after a brief illness at Mission Hospital. She was born July 11, 1919 in Scott County, VA to Charlie Camel Smith, father and Mary Smith Rachel, mother. She relocated to Asheville in 1944 with her husband and daughter. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 50 years, James Glen Walters. Mrs. Walters is survived by her daughter, Patsy Pressley and husband Bob Pressley of Asheville; granddaughter, Kim Morgan and husband Doug Morgan, Jr. and great granddaughter Taylor Morgan of South Riding, VA; grandson, Bob Pressley, Jr. and wife Melissa Pressley and great granddaughter, Kayla Pressley of Wilmington. Graveside services will be held 2 P.M. Thursday at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory with special friend, Rev. Ron Brown officiating. A special thank you to Robert Lewis, a very dear friend who provided assistance and support to Mrs. Walters and was always available for her every need.
