Ruth Head Hampton

Asheville - Ruth Jeanette Head Hampton, 94, of 28 Skyview Terrace died Friday October 12, 2001 at her home. A native of Madison County, she lived most of her life in Buncombe County. She was a member and former Sunday School teacher at New Bridge Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Lattie Pender and Vista Carson Head and the wife of the late Shannon Wesley Hampton. Surviving are her daughters, Lorraine Hampton Roberts of Asheville and Betty Hampton Roland of Higlands Ranch, Col. ; brother, Rev. Ralph Head of Asheville; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Monday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Revs. David Coleman and Clark Henderson officiating. Entombment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
