LEICESTER Ruby Wilde Honeycutt, 91, of 141 Sluder Branch Road, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2008 at her residence. A native of Madison County, she had resided in Buncombe County since 1939. She retired in 1975 from Sears & Roebuck Co. where she served as an accountant and was a member of Newfound Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, a devoted sister and a wonderful homemaker who loved to grow vegetables and flowers. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Mrs. Honeycutt was the daughter of late E. M. Wilde and Cora Fender Wilde. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Paul Wilde; sister, Bertha Jones and four infant siblings. Surviving are her husband, Ernest L. Honeycutt of the home; sisters, Ann D. Robinson & Faye Moneyham both of Leicester, Thelma Goforth of Weaverville, Dale Bowman (Robert) of Asheville and Kay Griffin (James) of Marshall; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 3 P.M. Tuesday in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Phillips and Rev. Scott Moneyham (nephew) officiating. Burial will follow in Newfound Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2 to 3 P.M. Tuesday.
