Ruby Griffin

Leicester – Ruby Griffin, 85, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at her residence. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Tilda Waycaster Angel. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill Griffin; daughters: Kathy and Norma Griffin; sisters: Mary Lee, Loretta, and Frances; and brothers: Floyd, Robert, James, Dallas, and Arthur. Surviving are her grandsons: Bruce and Phillip Griffin; nephew, Kenneth Angel; brother, Richard Angel; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3 PM Saturday, May 28, 2022, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday following the service. A special thank you to her niece, Tina Montiel and Charlie Smith whom she lived with the past several months for all their care during Ruby’s final months.
