Ruby Ballew Price

Weaverville, NC – Ruby Jean Ballew Price, 85, passed away Friday, July 24, 2020 at Signature Health Care in Greeneville, TN where she had made her home for the past 10 years. A native of Madison County, she had resided in Buncombe County most of her life, was a member of Union Valley Freewill Baptist Church and served as a Biscuit Maker at McDonald’s in Weaverville before her retirement. She was a daughter of the late Jesse Franklin Ballew and Bertha Ellen Roberts Ballew and the wife of Jack Reed Ballew who died September of 1998 and James Carl Price who died in December 2010. Mrs. Price was also preceded in death by her son, Tony Ballew and all of her siblings. Surviving are her daughters Mary Jo Houston of Sevierville, TN and Tammy Harrison of Huffman, TX, 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Graveside services will be held Monday, July 27th at 10:30 AM at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory with the Rev. Doug Ballew officiating. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is assisting Mrs. Price’s family.
