Ruby Anderson

Asheville Ruby Nell Summey Anderson, 81, of 4 Pine Burr Rd., went to be with her Lord on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Fleshers Fairview Healthcare Center. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Linton Thaddeus Summey and Nellie Viola Austin Summey and the wife of the late Carroll Jackson Anderson who died October 26, 2009. Surviving are her daughter, Gail Hensley with whom she made her home and son, Phillip Anderson and wife, Diane of Marion; 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandsons; brothers, Linton Thaddeus Summey, Jr. of Asheville, Charles William Summey of Enka and James Winfred Summey and Robert Louie Summey both of Canton and several nieces and nephews. A celebration service of her life with visitation will be held 2PM Wednesday, March 6, 2013 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
