Ruby Allen Raborn

Asheville Ruby Louise Allen Raborn, 90, of 2301 Abbey Circle, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at her home. A native of Charlotte County, VA, she had resided in Asheville since 1988. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dallas, TX and was a Life Master of the American Contract Bridge League. Mrs. Raborn was a daughter of the late John Broadus and Janie Scruggs Allen and wife of Wilber Lee Bill Raborn, Jr. who died June 12, 2002. Surviving are her daughter, Linda L. Raborn of the home; sister, Jane B. Kennison of Beaverdam, VA and several nieces. Graveside services will be held 2 P.M. Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Buckingham Baptist Church Cemetery in Gold Hill, VA with Rev. Doug Adams officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: CarePartners, P.O.
