Ronnie Woodby

Asheville Ronald William Ronnie Woodby, 56, of Asheville, passed away Friday, January 29, 2016 at his home. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Ronnie worked as a form carpenter in construction as well as in the fencing industry. He will be remembered as a free spirit with a mischievous smile, who loved life and lived it fully. Ronnie was the son of the late George Thurman and Barbara Louise Fryar Woodby. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Spencer Woodby. Surviving are his children: Austin Woodby and Crystal Witt; step-son, Chris Spencer; granddaughter, Sydney Witt; step-granddaughter, Andreya Prieur; brother, Mark Woodby; sisters: Sharon Ross and Sandy Baker; one niece, four nephews, and a host of close special friends. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
