Ronnie Ewart

Leicester Ronald Hugh Ronnie Ewart, 69, of 181 Mink Farm Rd, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Emerald Ridge Rehab and Care Center. A native of Haywood County, he had resided in Buncombe County since 1970. Ronnie was a tree trimmer by love and profession. Mr. Ewart was a son of the late John and Faye Clark Ewart. He was also preceded in death by his son, Michael John Ewart who died in 1978. Surviving are his wife, Barbara Jean Robinson Ewart of the home; son, Ronnie Lee Ewart and wife, Pennie of Leicester; grandsons, Keifer Ewart and wife, Ashley of Leicester and Corey Ewart and wife, Krissy of Marion; great grandchildren, Mea, Adaline, Grayson and Avery Ewart; sisters, Carolyn Messer and husband, Danny of Hazelwood, Hazel Thompson and husband, Jay of Candler and Saralyn Southerland and husband, Carl of Canton; brothers, Lee Roy Ewart and wife, Brenda of Sylva and Elmer Ray Ewart and wife, Pam of Canton and numerous nieces and nephews, including Dakota Lee Robinson who affectionately knew him as Papaw. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery-Dix Creek #2 with Rev. Keith Watkins officiating. Pallbearers will be Keifer Ewart, Corey Ewart, Dakota Lee Robinson, Vernon Robinson, Jerry Robinson and John Robinson. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
